==== Beef with Asparagus and Oyster Sauce ==== * 2 tablespoons oil * 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped * 6 ounces beef, thinly sliced (about 3/4 cup) * 6 ounces young thin asparagus (or any other crunchy vegetable such as broccoli), chopped into 2-inch lengths (about 1 1/2-2 cups) * 2 tablespoons oyster sauce * 1 tablespoon fish sauce * ½ teaspoon sugar * ½ teaspoon ground white pepper - In a wok or frying pan, heat the oil and fry the garlic until golden brown. - Stirring constantly, add each of the remaining ingredients one at a time, stirring well between each addition. - When the beef is cooked, turn onto a serving dish and serve.
