2 tablespoons oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
6 ounces beef, thinly sliced (about 3/4 cup)
6 ounces young thin asparagus (or any other crunchy vegetable such as broccoli), chopped into 2-inch lengths (about 1 1/2-2 cups)
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
½ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon ground white pepper
In a wok or frying pan, heat the oil and fry the garlic until golden brown.
Stirring constantly, add each of the remaining ingredients one at a time, stirring well between each addition.
When the beef is cooked, turn onto a serving dish and serve.
