Shrimp with Holy Basil

kung pad krapow

This recipe can be adapted by substituting pork or chicken for the shrimp, but the meat should be very finely chopped or coarsely ground.

  1. In a wok or frying pan, heat the oil and fry the garlic and chilies, stirring well, until the garlic begins to brown.
  2. If using a protein other than shrimp, add and cook for 3-5 minutes before adding remaining ingredients.
  3. If using shrimp, add them and stir, then quickly add the remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  4. Cook until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. Turn onto a serving dish and serve.
