Ingredients
½ cup Sodium-free or Low-sodium Chicken or Vegetable Broth
¼ cup Mirin *1
½ cup Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Sake
1 tsp Brown Sugar
1 tsp Rice Wine Vinegar
1 inch piece Ginger, peeled and smashed
1 clove Garlic, peeled and smashed
1 Scallion, chopped
Instructions
Bring all the ingredients to simmer in a saucepan.
Simmer the tare until it reduces to ½ cup, about 25 minutes.
Strain the solids and let the tare cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
