  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 small fresh red or green chilies, finely chopped
  • 6-8 raw jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined I medium onion, cut in half and roughly sliced 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 20 holy basil leaves
  1. In a wok or frying pan, heat the oil and fry the garlic and chilies, stirring well, until the garlic begins to brown.
  2. If using a protein other than shrimp, add and cook for 3-5 minutes before adding remaining ingredients.
  3. If using shrimp, add them and stir, then quickly add the remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  4. Cook until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. Turn onto a serving dish and serve.
